Get ready to reel in some fun—and make a difference for the Rio Grande! Hosted by our coalition partner, the Rio Grande Headwaters Restoration Project, the Rio Reels fundraiser is back, and this year’s event promises an evening of community, connection, and conservation. Mark your calendars: 6:00 pm on Friday, November 7th at SLV Ski Hi Complex in Monte Vista. Whether you’re an avid angler, a nature lover, or someone looking for a meaningful way to spend an evening, this event is for you.

Rio Reels is a film festival event that celebrates rivers and the joys they bring to our lives. In addition to film showings, there will be dinner, drinks, and a silent auction and raffle featuring art, outdoor gear, local agriculture products, and more! This event supports the Rio Grande Headwaters Restoration Project (RGHRP) in their vital work to restore and protect the river we all rely on. From habitat restoration to water quality improvements, RGHRP is dedicated to keeping the Rio Grande healthy for wildlife and communities alike.

And SLV GO! is thrilled to be partnering with them this year in our work. Our Great Outdoors Action Team (GOATs) has begun collaborating with RGHRP on Process-Based Restoration, hands-on projects that restore riverbanks, improve fish and wildlife habitat, and reconnect communities to their local waterways. Every dollar raised at Rio Reels directly supports these restoration efforts, helping to create a stronger, healthier Rio Grande for everyone.
