At SLV GO!, every program we champion advances outdoor recreation development, education, and access — while also promoting conservation and environmental stewardship. Building trails, connecting people to nature, and engaging the next generation of outdoor leaders all contribute to a stronger, more sustainable San Luis Valley.

Outdoor Recreation, Education, Access & Stewardship
SLV Generation Wild
Not every family has the same chance to enjoy Colorado’s great outdoors. Generation Wild helps break down barriers by creating fun, welcoming opportunities for kids and families to connect with nature. As the convening organization for our local Generation Wild community, SLV GO! brings together partners to make sure every child in the San Luis Valley can explore, play, and discover the outdoors.
Embajadores
Embajadores are trusted role models and cultural connectors who help make outdoor spaces more inclusive and welcoming for everyone. By leading bilingual adventure trips like biking, climbing, and camping, the Embajadores help increase access to outdoor recreation within their communities.
GOATs (Great Outdoors Action Team)
A full-time, professional trail crew dedicated to maintaining trails and outdoor spaces throughout the San Luis Valley. GOATs develop leadership and technical skills while contributing to community infrastructure and conservation.
Regional Partnership Initiative
At SLV GO!, we don’t just build trails and parks—we plan outdoor spaces with the community, for the community. We collaborate with governments, land managers, and communities to plan and prioritize outdoor projects. This work results in thoughtful, sustainable infrastructure that meets local needs and strengthens long-term access and stewardship.
