As part of this commitment, SLV GO! shares the Care for Colorado Leave No Trace Principles, a simple guide to enjoying the outdoors while minimizing our impact:
Know Before You Go
Plan ahead and be prepared for Colorado’s changing weather, terrain, and conditions.
Stick To Trails
Protect plants, wildlife, and fragile ecosystems by staying on designated paths and routes.
Leave It As You Find It
Preserve natural and cultural treasures by leaving rocks, plants, and artifacts in place.
Trash The Trash
Pack it in, pack it out. Carry a bag to collect all your trash (and even pick up a little extra).
Be Careful With Fire
Check fire restrictions, use designated rings, and always put out fires completely.
Keep Wildlife Wild
Observe animals from a distance and always store food, trash and anything with a scent in bear proof lockers, canisters or secured vehicles.
